Give the children back their laughter
As a part of the third phase of the Akbayan Partylist’s relief operation for the typhoon Sendong victims, former congresswoman Risa Hontiveros visits Xavier Ecoville to turn over notebooks, pads of paper, toys, mini chairs and tables and a tent to ChildFund International , a group which has been conducting psychosocial debriefing sessions to the children residing in the said temporary relocation site in Lumbia. Hontiveros, a blue blooded Atenista, said that her group intends to bring back the normal everyday life of the children. They decided to include toys in their donations because they believed that playing is an important element in a child’s life.
