The Council of Nursing Students (Conus) of Xavier University organized Dagan Atenista Fun Run 2012. It took place on July 21 where the runners gathered at SM to start off their 2K and 5K dash. Dagan Atenista Fun Run 2012 was done for benefit of Xavier Ecoville (XE), the XU-led resettlement community for Sendong survivors. Students, teachers, professional and amateur runners joined in the event for an afternoon of sweating it out for a cause. In the closing program held at the SM parking lot later that evening, XE beneficiary Vanessa Fortunado, who was also the grand winner of the recently-concluded Ecoville got Talent Finals last June, graced the event and serenaded the runners with her winning piece. XE project coordinator Iris C. Montellano gave a message of gratitude for Conus’ and the runners’ support to the Sendong survivors.
